The Volunteering Fairy Is Here!

The beating heart of our charity is our support groups and our facilitators are what keep them pumping.

If you are a good listener and are able to commit to 3 hours a week, this might be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.

Facilitating is an extremely rewarding role in which you help to run our peer support meetings, creating a safe and welcoming space for others. We provide full training and supervision.  After full training you will be expected to commit approximately 3 hours of your time, the same time on the same day each week. We need volunteers to be dependable and committed when taking on the role.

We are looking for facilitators for the following days/times: Monday afternoon (Easton), Monday evening (Barton Hill), Tuesday morning (Stokes Croft), Wednesday afternoon (Knowle), Thursday morning (Hartcliffe), Thursday evening (Southmead).

Please note that this call-out is for these vacancies specifically. If you are not available to volunteer during these days/times then we will not be able to invite you to training this time, but do get in touch for future opportunities.

For more details, please see the attached job description and person specification.

Training will take place on April 8th, 15th and 22nd from 6-9pm. You will need to attend all 3 training sessions to become a facilitator.

Closing Date: 13th March 2020 (but please apply as soon as you can – we cannot train everyone that applies so there will be an informal phone interview)

Please send completed applications to tara@changesbristol.org or call 0141 536 0920 for more information.
