Diversity Statement

Changes Bristol Full Diversity Statement

Changes Bristol celebrates all ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, religions, ages, neurodiversity, disability status’, citizenships, or any other aspect which makes you unique.

We are committed to fostering inclusivity, belonging and equality and we are allies in the fight against systemic racism, homophobia, and hate. We understand that people who belong to marginalised groups experience particular challenges because of the oppression they face. We seek to provide spaces for these communities to talk and share about their wellbeing and mental health with people with shared lived experience. We understand particularly the pertinence of this within the context of the city of Bristol. A city built and founded on the legacy of slavery and racial injustice. We understand that this has caused complex and deep rooted generational racial trauma and we strongly seek to be part of the process of restitution and healing.

These commitments are made because we have an unwavering belief that everybody is entitled to full and equal civil rights. We are proud and unapologetic allies and we recognise our responsibility to address and confront homophobia, transphobia, racism, xenophobia, ableism and privilege within our sector and the world around us.
